Grown up in the placid southwest, at home in Berlin and Stuttgart, in the mountains and at the seaside and best on two wheels with or without an engine. Early holiday memories from the humming slide projector, first camera at fourteen, short film attempts in school, and then interns and apprenticeship eventually. Since then it's been trial and error and trial again. And the unabated fascination for moving images and images that really move me...
Since my first attempts in short films I've been fascinated by storytelling with moving images. After lots of trial, interns, an apprenticeship and many years of freelance work i've found the job of my dreams. And i'm still finding it again and again in new topics, tasks and perspectives. A weightless tracking shot across a dramatically-lit sports car; a hand-held shot in a steamy soup kitchen; a contrasty slow-mo of a captivating portrait – for 20 years I've been driven by an appetite for aesthetics, motion and storytelling. Strong, intense images: a passion for pictures.
